PUNJAB NEWS EXPRESS | December 29, 2024 12:25 PM

NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) is allegedly transferring its "ill-gotten" money in the form of cash from Punjab to Delhi to fund the Delhi upcoming elections. The allegations are made by Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit in a complaint made to Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Delhi.

After being alerted by Sandeep Saxena about alleged transfer of cash by AAP, LG V.K.Saxenahas asked the DGP Punjab and government of Haryana and Rajasthan to be vigilant about "private cars from Punjab" with Punjab Police escorts being sent through their states. The LG office has also asked the Chief Secretary Delhi to inform the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi to be vigilant in this matter.

AAP is ruling in Punjab and Delhi. It is alleged that AAP government in Punjab is funding the party in Delhi and transferring cash through private vehicles, escorted by Punjab Police. The development indicates that AAP in Punjab is allegedly indulging in large scale corruption. Saxena bas instructed the Delhi police to investigate the allegations of snooping on Dishit by officials from Punjab.

Sandeep Dikshit is Congress party candidate against AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi assembly constituency. Dikshit has also complained that intelligence officials of Punjab Police are seen spying outside his residence with the objective to intimidate him. Dikshit alleged that with the help of Punjab Police officials, crores of rupees were being transferred from various parts of Punjab ahead of Delhi elections.

Delhi LG has also ordered a high level probe into Delhi government's proposed Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojna on the basis of complaint made by Dikshit. Kejriwal has promised to pay Rs.2100 to eligible women who are not paying income tax. Similar scheme of paying Rs.1000 to women above 18 years of age was also announced by AAP in Punjab to lure the voters but even after three years, the scheme is not implemented.

The AAP in Delhi has also announced Sanjeevni Yojna for people aged above 60 promising free medical treatment. The Delhi women and Child Development department and Health department had issued public notices disowning the registration process started by CM Atishi and Kejriwal for two schemes. Sandeep Dikshit said that this was the fraud being perpetrated by the AAP and requested for high level probe into the schemes.

Kejriwal has hit back and alleged that BJP was rattled following announcement of the schemes for women and senior citizens. He alleged that BJP was openly distribution money to but votes.
